About me

I am a theatre and performance scholar, writer and activist. 

I am currently a Guest Professor at the University of Fine Arts (UDK) Berlin. I am working on (my Second Book) (Post)Migrant Theatre in German Theatre History – (Dis)Continuity of Aesthetics and NarrativesMy research engages with (post)colonial and (post)migrant theatre and theatre history, Performance by artists of color and the intersections of race and gender in contemporary European Theatre. 

I was previously a researcher and lecturer at the department of Theatre Studies at LMU Munich, I held the Eva & Victor-Klemperer Fellowship at TU Dresden and I was a Fellow at the International Research Center Interweaving Performance Cultures at FU Berlin. 

I Am A Board Member Of Performance Studies International (PSi) And co-editor Of Interventions – Contemporary Theatre Review (CTR).
